Microsoft Surface Tablet - The iPad Killer
Microsoft Surface Tablet - The iPad Killer.

Surface Tablet from Microsoft is going to be really really tough and unbeatable for the Apple iPad. For years, many tablets looked pale in front of the iPad and finally here we are; Surface tablet has all the instincts of the best tablet we have so far. Surface tablet was designed, manufactured and innovated precisely by Microsoft keeping in mind the corporate's 30 years of reputation.
The iPad  is only 9.5 inches in length, 0.37 inches in width and is 1.44 pounds and the other hand, the Series 7 Slate PC, slightly heavier with 11.66 inches in length, 0.51 inches in width, about 2 pounds in weight.  Surface tablet will be close to iPad in weight and size.  Yes, it’s a hybrid so you can’t even compare it side - by - side with the iPad because Surface can be used as a tablet or a laptop or even a desktop. It has best of both worlds: The Metro Style tablet and the Classic Windows Desktop style.

The Surface tablet has a dock that includes a full-size HDMI port, USB port, and gigabit Ethernet port. You can hook up a large monitor, a USB cable to connect with other devices, or you can even use it as a laptop PC.

Another iPad killer? Until M$ actually, you know, DELIVERS a product, we're just gonna have to wait and see, aren't we?

With the attached keyboard, it looks like a laptop, but inverted; one will find it rather difficult to place a flexible keyboard in one's lap, with the weight of the actual device making for an interesting physics lesson in top-heaviness, don't you think?

Oh well, at least it's not running some version of Android.

Best of luck. Let us know if it really does become the iPad killer. If not, it'll make for good landfill.

I am a Series 7 user and the biggest problem I have is the weight. It is not as handy as iPad or other tablets and can be a pain in the wrist if you hold it for long time....

Still though I think I would find it more useful especially with the intel processor which will mean unlike the ipad it is useful for things other than swatting flies and disciplining the dog
